Best Trilogy Ever

Postby Aya » Tue Mar 18, 2008 11:52 pm

I found this in the weekly poll on Gaia and thought I would pose the question here to see what you guys think.

The Indiana Jones series can't be classified as a trilogy now that they have a new movie coming out. The Pirates of the Caribbean series sucked, all except the first movie. The Terminator series now can't be called a trilogy, because they've announced a new movie. All the others are good, but LOTR is the best

They do count since their new movies have not been released yet. Once they are released, then they aren't trilogies. Let's not get too technical here.

I never saw the third Pirates, but I don't want to considering my sister saw it and said it sucked... and she liked the series.

The third Pirates, was full of fail. There was zero epicness to it.

We'll have to wait and see how the fourth one does. Probably suck too.

*Slams head on table* Why Disney? Why? You ruined a good movie by creating two lackluster sequels. And now you decided to make a fourth? WHY?

I haven't seen the Godfather either. Heard its good for a movie that drags on for 6 hours.

You know, I don't really consider Star Wars to be a Trilogy.
I mean, yes, there are two different sections of three, but Star Wars as a whole is really six movies. Not to mention the fact that I'm not sure which three we're talking about. 4-6 or 1-3?
So.... in conclusion I went with LOTR
That is the best actual Trilogy out there.

Of course if you count The Hobbit, LOTR isn't a trilogy.

It's seperate but a few of the characters do return. But the stories have zero relation.

Exactly, so why bring it up? O_o

All the movies I listed were trilogies at one point or still are. Keeping that in mind, and assuming I'm talking about the original 4, 5 and 6 movies for Star Wars, which is the best?

Always assume it's 4-6 when talking about Star wars. 1-3 were made of fail.

Contrary to my username I voted Matrix.
The second movie was poor, but overall I loved the series... and the bullet-time effects... and the green :P

If they decide to remake the 4-6 Star wars movies. I'ma start shooting. I don't want a crappy revising of the Battle of hoth, it's too epic to be remade.

They won't. They've already digitally remastered them, so there's no reason to redo them.

Besides, I think George Lucas knows better than to do something stupid like that.
