Final Fantasy Battles

Postby Ozental » Fri Aug 26, 2005 11:46 pm

OK, we've discussed many aspects of the Final Fantasy game series, but one of the most important has not been discussed. So with that... which Final Fantasy game has the hardest battles?

I agree, the enormous Weapon are very though battle, far more difficult than Sephiroth who is a good challenge. And worst, you have two of those to defeat and one of them is underwater where you need a special item to stay a longtime underwater. You also encounter big monster trough the game like the giant snake who guard the cavern entrance. The first Weapon that you must defeat with magic only. For me, FF7 is the summum of all RP, naturally, today, the game is largely beaten graphically, but the story, the challenge, the exploration, the system and many other feature did have been beated. Still today, people wonder about a way to resurrect Aeris.

When was the first FF released?

Still today, people wonder about a way to resurrect Aeris.

This reminds me of trying to resurrect the girl on FF Tactics. I've tried wo many different ways, but it just won't let you.

Yeah, totally Ruby and Emerald Weapon from FF7. Even with maxed level, you get owned. You have to have the perfect setup of materia to beat it, or one of the special combos.

Omega Weapon in FFIV however is impossible to kill when you have the opportunity to fight it which earns it my vote to have the toughets battle.
Omega weapon in FF8 was easy, limit break The End need I say anymore?

I have no choice but to complain about VII's battles. The weapons make me cry. *tear* They are annoying (an understatement).

I'd say XII, becuse if you get cornered by lots of enemies, which it's possible to do, you are royally pooped upon.

Final Fantasy 10, only in the Monster Arena, but if Final Fantasy X also includes Final Fantasy X-2, then add Angry Mainryu (sp), and Via Impurifco

.... Final Fantasy 10 was the easiest, shortest Final Fantasy ever released to my knowledge. I haven't played any game released after 10, because 10 destroyed the Dynasty for me completely.

I said 3/4.

If you've ever played either, 4 more so then 3, you'll know exactly what I mean.
They weren't the best games character-wise, but they had a solid storyline, and the battles provided good challanges.

7 was easy... I'm sorry, but it just wasn't that hard.

Tactics would be my second choice, but I've master the game, so I find it rather easy now. :(

To understand why i hate most final fantasy seven people see the above statement

try playing V and beating Shinryu then come back and tell me if your little weapons were harder than that thing

Man, this title goes to Tactics, hands down. Not Tactics Advance but the original PSX version.

...No FF mage has ever made me cry before I played that game and at like the fifth stage.

It's possibly because I suck, but from what I can tell, general consensus says, "it's hard".

naw knights of the round destroys ruby, and final attack with phoenix makes emerald simple in FF VII, the hardest FF boss, would be in Wild Arms when you face the optional FF I or II last boss, that fight is killer. Other than that do six, but don't get everyone back, skip as many as you can, get the airship, and do the last boss with only three people, one per party, now there's a challenge.

I have never played tactics, but I found the hardest boss to be sin from X. Embarrasing but true.

My sis wiped the memory card after I fought him though, so I never got a second chance.

It's very easy to get outnumbered in XII, so if you aren't careful, you can end up with impossible battles all the damn time. There's also a greater luck element in it: for example, if a Behemoth of any description gets multi-hits on you, then you're one character down before you've even started.
Most of them are pretty easy to finish the main storyline, though.
