Greatest Classic Disney Villain Ever

Postby Aya » Fri Feb 27, 2009 1:43 am

Based on looks, and what evil deeds they did, who would you say is the greatest classic villain? Need help? Here’s a breakdown for you.

Snow White’s step mother was a crazy narcissistic bitch. While Snow White was only her step daughter, she was still so jealous of her beauty that she ordered her killed. The Hunter let her go, so the evil bitch had to do it herself with poison. She later kicked it by being shoved off a cliff. Bad guys seem to have a thing for dying by falling. Lol

Maleficent, well, what can one say. Her evil costume is the best of any by far. Tall and beautiful even, she has a kick ass staff, and evil bird and an awesome voice to boot. She knows cool magic spells and she turned into a freakin’ dragon. A DRAGON people! She keeps the prince locked up (intended to be for 100 years) and then was to let him go to kiss his love to wake her. See, she has a soft heart. And all this because she didn't get invited to the party.

Cruela DeVille is just … I don’t even know what to call her. She wanted to kill puppies! That in my book is an “off with her head” offense. She steals the cute puppies and spends the entire movie trying to skin them and get them back when they escape. Did I mention she wants to kill puppies and other furry animals for fur coats?

Ursula is bitter octopus woman who was exiled for being, well, a bitch. She tricks Ariel and steals her voice, and then when things don’t work out she turns daddy into a… tiny… creature… thing… and steals his crown and now rules the ocean. She makes herself giant after her stupid eel pets are toasted and becomes a giant, fat octopus with a god complex hell bent on killing Ariel and her prince.

Next is Jaffar from Aladdin. All he wanted was Phenomenal Cosmic Power! Most bad guys seem to be against true love, and he’s no exception. He tries to kill Aladdin on more than one occasion, and even steals the genie. But, through all his plotting and evil “genious”, he wishes a stupid wish and along with his Phenomenal Cosmic Power, he gets his itty bitty living space. The fact there was a second movie devoted to him just proves he’s evil.

Shere Khan was the tiger from The Jungle Book. His voice was freaking amazing, but he also tried to eat Mowgli. He seemed to think he owned the jungle and man was a threat, so the boy had to die. What is it with Disney trying to kill little kids? Lol I’m a little biased with this one though. Remember the part where Mowgli is with the vultures and Khan shows up and finishes that song they were singing and hits that low note… so awesome.

Captain Hook… a pansy ass pirate trying to kill a little boy. Again with the killing of little kids. Not only that, but he wants to trash the rest of the lost boys, or force them to become pirates. I think he’s a pervert looking for some little boy action.

Scar... granted he engineered the death of his brother and usurped the throne, but you have to take away brownie points for the fact that he had his incompetent minions do all the dirty work and then took their word for it that Mufasa and Simba were both dead...and we all know how that turned out.

Btw, I just voted for Maleficent, and I see others have too already. I think she's gonna win.

Honestly, i don't see why more people don't pick scar. He killed the pride lands AND Mufasa. As i'm sure we all know. Mufasa was the greatest lion ever.

All of the above are famous Disney villains, but I don't think any of them are the greatest.

My favorite Disney villain has to be from the movie Hunchback of Notredame, Claude Frollo. This guy not only killed an innocent woman, nearly killed her baby, locked up said baby in a tower, but he also persecuted gypsies on a daily basis. What takes the cake for me though is the villain song he sings, you know, the "look at me, I'm evil!" song that half the villains sing in their movies. This guy basically sings about how he wants to bone this hot gypsy or else kill her and send her to the pits of hell. Now that's crazy! Seriously, youtube the song if you never seen the movie.

But if I had to choose who was the greatest villain using logic, it would have to be the giant Devil from Fantasia, cause lets face it, all of these villains were motivated by the Devil some way or another. He must be their boss.

From the list though, yeah, I have to choose Maleficent. She's evil, she turns into a giant dragon, and like Rin said, she's one of the main badies in Kingdom Hearts! The others in my eyes just aren't that evil to me.

He's not really a villain though. He just does what he does. The devil in Fantasia I mean.

Maleficent was great in the first Kingdom Hearts, but seemed so... needless in the second. So I now despise her.

Jafar, on the other hand, is immense from his Goatee to his sceptre thing (I don't remember it in the actual movie, though), to being in cahoots with Iago. And let's face it, genies are clearly more badass than any other living thing.

Well; technically you could say the same thing about Captain Hook, being beaten by Robin Williams I mean.
While not in the disney adaptation it DID happen in the movie 'HOOK'.

I actually have to say Scar on this one.
There are MANY reasons but I'll only list some of the most important.
---Killed his own brother.
---Tried to have his nephew killed.
---Enslaved his own species by martial law with the aid of another species.
---Scar is one of four Disney characters to be nominated for "Best Villain" in the MTV Movie Awards
---"Long live the king" This line alone, whilst he committed regicide.
-- His crazed happiness as the hyena's march. The march itself reminiscent of the march of the nazi's makes him uber evil.

Therefore; Scar.

Scar IS the only one that managed to kill one of his intended victims. And to correct you, he didn't try to kill Simba, as far as he knew he had succeeded. We only say "try" because we know he didn't die.

This is great, Scar and Maleficent are tied.

He was beaten by his own gluttony and greed, which means that his own evil brought his demise.
See why he's the best villain? He's so vile he can't stand himself.

Huh. I think I just tied it up for Maleficent again... sorry?

Any how, she's the most diabolical because not only is she vile, she has the power to back it up.

IMO, these are all 'good' villains, but I think Maleficent's motivation is what puts her on the top for me. Think about it; she curses a girl simply because she wasn't invited to the birthday party.

Of course, I also can't get over Shere Kahn. You wait the whole movie for him to really do something, and you know he's bad. And when he finally does strike... yeah.

And yes, I love Scar too, because he fulfills the evil manipulating uncle perfectly. It's kind of sad, because after killing Mufasa everything else just doesn't quite compare.

Then there's Gaston, who was a great villain because of how he deteriorated throughout the movie, with how his desires shifted from trying to win Belle's heart to killing the Beast.

And there was that Agent from Iron Giant. I hated the s*** out of that weasel.

These were all great villains, due to their total lack of remorse and incredible singing voices. Except for the Agent from Iron Giant. He was a dick.

You know, there's actually a list of these by the Nostalgia Critic, and he put the Devil at the top of his list. But he did contain a lot of these guys in his list... all of them, I think.

Oh yeah, and which hook are we talking about? The one from the cartoon, or the live action? Because the Live action hook actually killed someone.

I think in the trial that Gaston is going to be the most fun. You should check out the charges against him. The thread is in off topic.

Hades didn't count because the poll was only done for classic disney characters. Anything after the lion king isn't considered classic. I think Disney fell from grace after that, so none of it was included.

Aw. Hades was my favorite disney villain by far. Cruel and cunning, spectacular evil master plan, fiery god powers, a plethora of legendary monstrocities at his command, and a flamy head? What more could you ask for?

If not Hades though, I'd have to definately say Scar, with Jafar a close second. Scar takes the cake though, as he was my favorite kind of villain: sly, cunning, backstabbing, establishing a master plan and ensuring each piece is put perfectly into place before swiftly executing it so fast and decively that nobody even has a chance to act... and he looks like a total badass to boot. The scene of Mufassa's death... his cunning lies to Simba... and his climactic final battle ending in a well-deserved death... beautiful. Not to mention he's a specacularly sinister singer. Jafar comes close in most of these categories, but he just isn't quite as strong in any of them as Scar. Plus, he doesn't look like a badass and his singing phails.
