Dako waltzed into his room and immeadiately landed in bed. Oy, the fish was excellent, but he had one too may drinks, and felt he was to soon heave. He always came to the Inn when he was in town. Elemental work was getting to be too much. The Inn was the most wonderful place he'd ever been to. But - oh, there he went. Puking all over the bed he laid in wasn't brightening, but he no longer cared. He went directly to a dreamless sleep, vowing, if he lived through tomorrow morning, he'd never drink again.

Its was a busy night, many people where travelling on the road these days. The owner Xitaro was behind the bar preparing a special drink for one of his guest. In the main room stood people of many different races who where talking about their respective Nation and the problems they had. There was many things he was satisfied about his Inn; the double mahogany entrance door with dragon carved on each one, the great windows who gived a wonderful view on the lake and the mountain far in the horizon, his great fireplace with two gargoyles watching it and the roof who has been magically worked to able those inside to see outdoors, stars where everywhere with there little twilight. Yes it was a beautiful night, even if stories of the void, dangerous beast or war was coming to his ear. It was life and he enjoyed it, the worse and the bad.

Descending from the starry blackness, the Foreigner smirked as he came in for a landing on his Avian Kite. There was a small, wooden makeshift sign scribbled with the words "Air Dock" suspended magically above the roof of the inn. Hours flying over a never ending sea alone, he was eager to visit an old friend. Thien lowered the sail of his kite, and spread his wings, landing soundlessly infront of the open mahogany doors he had grown to love. Searching the rowdy croud of the inn, he saw Xitaro behind the bar, and seeked his companionship.

"Thanks for the parking spot," the Foreigner called while he strided over to the bar, pointing to towards the enchanted ceiling above them.
"How are you, old friend?"

The owner smiled warmly at this new guest he learned to knew recently.

''I'm fine and you know me, I'm always trying to do everything to help people feel at home and have some real good time, so I have place to receive almost every strange riding beast as well as Airship.''

He finished serving his first guest then turned to The foreigner with his full attention, he took one of his small bronze dragon mug and filled it with a golden bottle, then he pushed the mug toward the foreigner, ''Try this, its on the house, you will feel it pass throughout all your body and you will forget the fatigue of your trip. Now tell me, I have heard that you where working really hard in Liang, how things are going there?''

"Well, I've been recruiting lately, hence the kite. I've been trying to get Liang up and running, but I haven't caught word of the General, Ritz Grimarren, for a while."

The Foreigner took a sip of the amber drink, a warm, buttery flavor fizzed down his throat. It seemed to coat his stomach with a warm feeling. Each time he inhaled, the drink gave it a mentholated feeling, a cold brisk breath each time. The overall effect, very pleasing.

"I begin to worry, for without his approval, my recruits cannot become citizens. If you have checked the census lately, there are at least two aspiring Liang citizens. And a third who has sent me a message of her interest. I understand the General's busy life."

Another thought occured to The Foreigner, and an embarrassing one at that. But this was Xitaro, the Foreigner knew he could confide in him. He lowered his voice, and leaned in to Xitaro.

"You know, I have inquiries of my Second in Command status. I'm not quite sure what it really does. In fact, I'm not even sure I'm officially the Second in Command. The General had asked if I was interested, and I said I was. He went on to send word to Ozental, the all seeing eye. But I have not recieved word from either since. Was I supposed to recieve a message confirming my status and duties? I've been reluctant in adopting the title as of late, wondering if the citizens would question my credibilty, as there is no official decree. What should I do?"

The Foreigner sighed, as his breath came out warm, and came back in an icy freshness.

The owner was knowing many things but not all,''Well I heard the news that you had received the titles of second in command, its a shame that you didnt know officially about it. (by the way you really are, look in the description thread of Liang) This is bureaucracy, i'm a simple Inn owner. You should ask you're general to have the confirmation you need. If the decision of a Leader doesnt go down the chain of command then the Nation is in trouble.''
Xitaro saw new customers coming toward the Inn throught his large windows.''Well look like it will be a busy night'' He smiled while washing and cleaning a few things around his bar.

Dako tossed and turned for a while, then rolled off the bed, loudly banging his head on the wood floor. Just not his day. He got up, grabbed his head murmering a bit at his pain, and sat back down on his bed. It was still daytime, so he must not have slept long. He noticed the wetness on his clothes, and decided immeadiately to take a shower.

He stripped and threw his clothes in the basket, not wanting to see them again. He hopped in and felt the warmth of the Inn's healing waters, and his hangover seamed to wash away into the drain. It remided him that this was, in fact, his favorite place on Isis.

He got out after a short time and put on his newly folded and warmed clothed that the maid brought in a short while ago. He walked out of his room and back to the diner. Hm...he wasn't to go drinking again. He needed steak. Yes, steak.

He walked up the the bar and sat on a stool. "Excuse me, I'll have a 10" beef steak and a glass of water." he said. He got strange looks from other customers. He must've gotten VERY drunk. But he didn't care.He felt at peace at the moment and didn't want to spoil it.

Dako took the glass gladly. Ah, water, the sweet clear liquid of the heavens. And my element!, he thought as he began to guzzle down the stuff. As he was asked a question, he put it down. "Oh, I'm fine. Sorry I made such a nuisance before. I'll pay for any damage." he said, as he started to guzzle again.

He eyed his surroundings. Just like any other diner. chairs, tables, jukebox, etc. But it had a warm feeling to it that most didn't, like it had been blessed or something. Aniwyen had probably blessed it with good fortune when it was built. It was, after all, THE Inn of Isis. My how famous it must be, he thought.

He eyed the juke box again and suddenly wished he hadn't said he'd pay for damages. It had a small crack through the side with some wires sticking out. No, two cracks. Three. Five. Oh no.

He turned back to the owner, a bit sheepishly. "So, how's buisness been? I've heard you've had lots of paying customers since about a week ago. How come?"

He filled the glass of water of Zapheres and added an ice cube.

The Foreigner lent his ear to Xitaro. His elemental abilities rarely let anything in the air unheard. Downing what was left of his elixer, he joined the conversation with the other two. As Liang is quite isolated from the mainland, the Foreigner had not heard much about the Void. His curiousty got the better of him.

"What exactly is the Void?"

Many customers stopped talking and somehow, the Inn became darker and heavy by the sudden silence. Many shuddered from shiver when they heard the owner talk about the Void.

''Everyone know that a enormous black shadow has appeared on the ocean of Isis and that an entity called Darkson emerged from it and almost destroyed Isis. I heard many stories and i'm sure that many of them are false, but when you heard many times the same stories coming from different part of Isis, this give some credibilities. What i'm about to tell you is what I think to be true.'' He paused a moment drinking in a glass of water and continued.

''The Void is a passage to an another world and their world is very different. Things or living being touched by the Void or by his inhabitant are twarthed and twisted in something different. The first and most common change is your mind, you become insane and your soul is lost forever. The second change is physical, you become something else like the monster who come out of the Void. Some sage think that is the rift between the two world who is causing every trouble, saying that the other world is a normal one but when people pass throught they are transformed into insane abomination. So, if people of Isis pass throught the Void, they will emerge on the other world as twisted insane monster.'' Xitaro took an another glass of water and added a cube of ice in it before drinking half of it.

He looked at his cutomers inside the Inn who where all listening then continued. ''The mage of Xiaur has imprisoned Darkson and the elementals are watching the Void, both of them have learned one thing, the Void is capable to react and is possibilities seem limitless but we dont know if its instinctives or controlled. Even the Gods are unable to give some good answer to their priest, and some say that the Gods are afraid of the Void.'' He paused again, satisfied of his speach, then looked at the Foreigner with a smile. ''Well my friend, this is everything I could tell you, the others stories are living nightmare without any credibilities like swirling mist who pop your eyes out and use them to see our world. Do you want something else to drink, you look thirsty.''

The Foreigner nodded, his calculative mind still recursing what Xitaro had just said. His throat was in need of liquid, it seemed like the sides of it stuck together.

"Do you have anything carbonated? I'm not much of an alcholic drinker. Bad for flying you see."

The bar became lively with the usual talking and laughing and drunk-speak. The Foreigner could pick out "Void" and "Darkson" every so often now. He pondered at the thought, and wondered why he hasn't heard any of this from the resident Likuni. Liang was an island, an almost impenatrable one at that. Perhaps this was not a good thing. The tarrif on imports have made Liang uninterested with mainland goods, and their sailors and fisherman only ventured out to the Greyfather ocean now. He wondered where the Void could be.

"Where exactly is this Void? Do you know?"

Dramius aproached the Inn, hesitating slghty with each step it had been a long time since he was in the company of others. He had heard many-a tales of the Isis Inn, and its mysterious owner, He had heard that everyone was greeted with a warm welcome, but that had been said before.

His hand visibly shook as he reached for the door.
"To Trust Is To Live," he muttered to himself grabbing the door handle firmly and twisting slowly.

He opened the door and stepped in watching it seemed everywhere at once his hood done he walked slowly though with cause towards the Bar.

"May I ask for some food and Wine good sir?" Dramius Stammered

Eelenah slipped silent off her white horse, her long white fur robes obscuring her face and the rest of her body. They were fitted, with large slits up the side for movement. She wore simple leather boots for riding.

She patted her horse, whispering into his ear, and he snorted, before wandering off to find food.

She entered the Inn, trying to be unobtrusive, and chose a table near the fire.

The owner Xitaro welcomed warmly the two new travelers, then he offered an Arthian coffee to the Foreigner,''Try this, its also called the paladine coffee, every effect of fear will disappear and you will feel really well. And you dont know where the Void is? That is surprising, the stories about Liang telling that is a very closed country must be true. The Void is almost connected to your Island of Ichu to the south east.''

He let the surprised Foreigner take the time to digest the news to take care of Dramius. '' Knowing that its your first visit here, I offer you the best meal with a good wine, its a gift of Welcome!. Now, choose a good place for yourself and I will bring your command in a short time.''

Then, he moved from behind his bar to meet the youg Lady near the fire. ''Welcome Lady! Its an honor to receive a Gunrag in my Inn, Its a rare site to see them going far from their mighty Rakane Mountain. Well if the stories are true, many things are changing there. Can I serve you something?''.

"Thankyou" Dramius said with less of a stammer in his voice "Your kindness is truly great, the tales they ave spoken of this place ring true" He added with more confidience.

Dramius walked towards a Table close by the fire it was the first time in 3 years that he had been in such a croweded place and the first time he had seen another Human in 6 Month.

He sat and waited carefully taking note of his surroundings and even more carefully preparing himself for trouble for wherever he went he was in trouble.
"I'm a long way from home" he muttered to himself and began to relax

Dako was relieved. The jukebox incedent had apparently gone unnoticed, and he now wondered where his steak was. People took out much too much time out of their lives for the Void. They needed to loosen up, and that's what the Inn of Isis [s]Inc.[/s] was all about.

He then noticed that TheForeigner was obviously second in command for Liang. He never expected there to be another second in commander here. He probably understood what life life was like for that kind of duty. But he wasn't allowed to talk about that. He wasn't allowed to talk at all about the Elemental Plane.

And he was also surprised the owner talked of Ichu. He was a guardian for a boy that lived there. He thought of him, name being Karne, and smiled, as he guzzled the rest of his water once again.

So he changed the subject. "Hey, Foreigner, you really don't know where the Void is? Here," Dako said as he took a large map out of his bag and handed it to The Foreigner. People stared, wondering how such a large thing fit into his bag, but he dismissed them. "this will help if you need to know where things are. I know Liang probably doesn't want you to have it, but I've observed that you don't much like the lone wolf part that Liang plays."

He looked back across the counter. "Hey Xitaro, where's my steak??" he said. He looked back at The Foreigner. "By the way, what exactly has been happening in Liang lately? It's so sealed of, no one seems to know anything about it." he said as he turned his cup upside-down to get the last of his water.

(OOC: Xitaro, name's Dako. Who is this Zapheres you speak of? [lol])

The Foreigner took the map in his hands, one he has seen only a few times before. Now, there was a dark mark, near Ichu labled the Void. It was uncomfortably close to his new home in Liang.

"By the way, what exactly has been happening in Liang lately? It's so sealed of, no one seems to know anything about it."

"I trust I can confide in you, elemental"

The Foreigner saw an uneasy look in his companion, his blue eyes gave him away. The Foreigner could easily pick out elementals, being one himself, and having been raised with them all. The Plane's ever watchful eye, and Aniwyen's Orb was always fixated on Isisian matters. He had to be careful what to say, Elementals always had a part in intervention

"Liang is steadily improving it's infrastructure. Our military rivals that of Parthia's, and all behind walls that even Frenellia cannot compare to. We mean no harm to any nation, only trying to improve ourselves before we partake in international matters."

''How the Nation of Liang is reacting with the news that Kahame is rising in power and the Barbarians interest to invade nearby territory?''

(ooc, by the way who is interested in invading what territory? Kahame interested in invading Liang. Barbarians (non kahamen) interested in invading Liang. Or Barbarians interested in invading Kahame? Just wondering, since this post was done in mind, thinking Kahamens were interested in invading Liang)

"At this rate, it is likely we'd ally with them. Our citizens are numbered these days, sometimes it feels as though I am but a one man army. If it should come to that, I will fight as I can."

Liang has become home to him. He'd defend it as if it were Haven. The Foreigner has always been alone, from the very beginning, even in the very walls of Liang he was alone. His very name had been denied to him, the Nation of Liang had decreed him to be branded "Foreigner", and so he has. Despite this, he is loyal to his squadron, and his adoptive Nation. His honor was far above his pride.

An air elemental, he could hold his own in a war, or a battle. If what Xitaro spoke of was true, he'd have to fight alone. After going through the national census, Liang had only one warrior at the moment it seemed. With a sigh of exasperation, he looked into Xitaro's eyes, and firmly offered one statement.

"Xitaro, I am Liang."

Xitaro listened his words ''An alliance, I think that the Gunrag of Kahame may be surprised by a declaration like that. Maybe you should talk with the healer Eelenah, she's a Gunrag and if my news are good, she's quite close to the new War Chief of Kahame. If you want to forge an alliance it could be a very good occasion to do so...'' With those word he indicated with a sign of head a young girl on a table near the fire, then he returned to his customers.
