Role Playing Computer Game Builder and its future

Postby peteym5 » Wed Jul 31, 2013 2:23 am

Hello, awhile back I posted something about a RPG Editor called Imperium Magica. Since it was not gaining much interest I took the sight down. I was having financial difficulties, along with doing other retro video game projects on the Atari 8-bit computers.

I am rethinking the concept of a RPG maker and figuring out a way for me to make money from it along with anyone who makes their game with it. Maybe a $20 one time registration fee. The solution would be putting many of its core components into a DLL so in itself would be a core "Engine" All someone would need to do is register with me for a key. That in turn would also enable someone to customize the programming they need for their final game. The Database component is most likely remain the same.

Now this RPG maker / builder uses 3D graphics and it in turn must use a 3D middleware component that makes it easier to program. The Builder is a complete scene and database editor. I can make that a free to use thing. Its just if someone wants to sell their own game, they need to register the DLL component with me.

I am trying to figure out how I am going to do it so it would be customizable. I am testing a few upgrades as I go along.
