Any kind of fantasy thing like that is second for me. I seem to to do better woth Sci-fi to other then it just being my fave and thats a small part of why it is. And I love the Elder Scrolls games. Best ever.

I voted "other", as I find myself attracted to originality. The more intriguing and internally consistent, the better. This is one of the reasons why I hate elves, vampires, orcs, evil emperors, peace-loving human federations, ninjas, orphan girls, dark wizards and just about every other hackneyed concept people refer to as "fantasy".

I'm all about the sci-fi, baby. Steam Punk is my faviorite subgenre, as well. Most awesome.

I really like the sci - fi. I like tradition types to but the sci - fi rocks. *Go sci-fi* I love FF but i'm not really sure what topic that would go under.

I like the Sci-Fi, and Superhero Genres. And it's very easy to see, because unless I'm playng Star Trek, and Starwars my characters always end up being paradies of superheros. Example in D&D I have a fighter/Ranger who basically is Batman, in D-20 Modern I have a character who parodies Ironman, and Mr. Fantastic that I might as well change his name to Tony Richards.

Anything at all... absolutelly anything. I'm kinda hoping to get in a dark, vampire, gothic styled one soon, but need to get some stuff sorted out first.

Why isn't there a 'Break-Dance competition' genre on there?!

I find the lack of it both appalling and offensive in a very serious manner.

Very serious.

It's hard for me to vote.

Traditional:
Traditional bores me to tears. "I have a +3 vorpal sword that can cast scorching ray twice per day h4ck5!eleven11!" yawn...

Modern:
Modern I like, but can quickly degenerate into over the top crime syndicate crap. The complicated alleigances of mobsters and goverment does not settle well with me, especialy when I can't use loony toon antics of just shooting everyone who looks at me cock-eyed.

Sci-Fi:
Tottaly depends on the secnario. Steampunk is awesome, space travel not so awesome. I can't stand the borderline nazish space travel campaighns where everyone is jaded and monotone.

Historic/Realistic:
Just not my thing. Though now that I think about it civil war reinactments are the first ever LARPings.

Gothic/Vampiric:
Hell no, I am not getting stuck gaming with a buncha brooding teenagers who want to spam thier crappy poetry somewhere along the way. The insane dialogue that requires a dictionary and cocaine to stay intouch with makes me understand why most goths are so depressed. It sucks!

Adult Fantasy:
The worst of the worst. I had an ex who liked adult fantasy, and it's so retarded and immature. Bassicaly there's only two people that play adult fantasy.

A) The wierdos who aren't happy renting porn, no, they gotta show how much they want to bone thier friends in an rpg setting.

B) The idiot girls and boys who want to express how hot they think thier boyfriend or girlfriend is by having raw RP sex, and then if they have a fight or whatever have raw RP sex with some other character to get back at them.

Other:
Horror based games I can tolerate if they're Cthulhu based. Otherwise it's gothic with less poetry and more big dictionary words.

Superhero based games can be exciting but quickly degenerate. Kindof like MMORPGS.

All of the Above:
Heh, no.

I like nearly all types of RPs, but I prefer Traditional because it is an escape from reality - you can do something magical in any sort of fantasy roleplay that wouldn't happen in real life, and the options are endless.

I like them all, but if that option wasn't there I would have picked traditional

I usually love playing in traditional rps, but I find the modern ones on this forum are really interesting. There are some wonderful plotlines that just couldn't work in an older setting.

All of the above. I can handle any RPG games except when I get stuck and I have to find out what should I do.

I like Megaman Battle Network for GBA by the way.(Because of the awesome Battle System and the new Battlechip System)

Guns ruin things in my opinion. The only gun I've ever IC shot, is one that basically shoots magic - not bullets.

Depends on the story really. Explosions and guns firing and FIRE is always cool to have in some stories !

Honestly, my favorite RPs are the superhero-themed ones. After that, its a split between non-magical Trad and a good Sci-Fi RP.

I have to say that my favorite genre is gothic/horror. Especially the new WoD games.
