RPG Time Consumer...

Postby Ozental » Fri Jun 01, 2007 12:14 pm

With a few nice looking RPGs out in the marketplace at the moment, I thought it might be fun to try and see which is your current favorite, or at least which you seem to be playing most of these days. So, which of the following do you seem to consume hours and hours of your time playing?

What about just regular RPG's? My sister and I role play in our Fantasy world . . . all over the board . . . it's fun!!! That takes up a lot of my time heh heh!

I've spent far too much time on all of the top 4. I once played Pokemon Red on GBC for 25 hours in one go with one five minute go. It was fun whilst i was playing it but afterwards i was screwed.

Not specifically FFXII but pretty much the whole FF series. I counted up how many hours i've played on each game about a month ago, and I think it was somewhere near 1900 hours.

On the first lot of Final Fantasy's the counter stops at like 99 hours 59 minutes so i'm not sure how much time i've spent on them. But 1900 hours on Final Fantasy sounds like a great way to spend 79 days of your life on. I think that's right anyway.

I still haven't fully completed FFXII yet.
I was planning on completing it 100% but getting the Tournesol takes an extremley long time and luck apparentley and i haven't even attempted at fighting Yiazmat or Omega Mark XII yet. Storyline was alright i think, although i got more into it as the game went on. Judge Ghis is so stupid, he made me laugh when he put the Nethicite into the reactor and blew the whole fleet thing up.
MMORPG but an RPG none-the-less. I've been sucked into the World of Warcraft void and I can't get out...

It's not the fact I spent hours apon hours playing Oblivion that's very depressing ... It's the fact I spent hours apon hours playing Oblivion without getting anywhere.

Heh. Not an extensive list. Neverwinter Nights 2 for me. I don't play all that often, but I like to have several hours at a stretch to get immersed in it.

I love the Morrow wind series, but in concerns to tabletop roleplaying I think I can say it takes up most of my life. I spend anywhere from 6-9 hours playing various roleplaying games; Dungeons & Dragons, d20 Modern, Wheel of Time, a custom rpg called "Arenia", and a custom rpg called "Stormfire." I spend roughly five days a week playing games.

I think Morrowind is much better then oblivion. In morrowind I found myself in an exciting unfamiliar alien world that sparked my curiosity.
In comparison to that I found oblivion drab and ordinary.

I voted other.

The RPG's I spent hours playing were:

FF 1-10
Dragon Warrior 1
Chrono Trigger
Breath of Fire 1 and 2
Earthbound
Suikoden 1 and 2
Xeno Gears
Legend of Mana
Saga Frontier
Tales of Destiny

Mostly consol RPG's.
But I did get heavily into Rune Scape a while back.

My characters are:
420>>Bones - Main

Image

420>>Reaper - Pure

The one with the brown robes and cape with the Rune 2hander. The girl is my friend Watter Baby.

Fun game, but it gets old, and I refuse to pay for membership, so...

I mainly play World of Warcraft. I have 30+ characters so I don't bother with making list's. Me and my friend Katorn Warnheit share a character named Arthats. He is a human Warlock who is currently level 52. We haven't played him in awhile or he would probably would be 70.

Mainly Morrowind and Oblivion. I was also playing Diablo II, but the disc got messed up.

And Legend of Zelda is not an RPG.

I play travian on two servers, bitefight on 6 servers, one knight one knightfight, most of the time I play fallensword, and I can say this is one of my favourites :D
and now here I have pretty little cute kitty and two other characters...
But those RPGs in the poll are not saying much to me...

I'm currently addicted to Battle for Middle Earth II Diablo and Diablo II (the expansion at least)...

It's not looking good for me... Unfortunately I'm also getting into WoW... AND trying to get back into a few RPs... At least I'm not doing any drugs. ^^

I keep finding things to do in Elder Scrolls. There's so much in between two locations it's crazy.
