Same here, a staff is the weapon of a magic user.

One with intricate carving and a gemstone on the top would be perfect.

And also, some people cast magic through their staff.

I would choose the knife (or dagger rather) because it's easier to hide...need I say more?
I know I was born, and I know that I'll die. The in between is mine.

Deffinantly a gun-sword combo!
Then you can shoot your enemy's then get up close and cut them!
That would solve everything.

i believe the best weapon a persn could have would be a sword. reason is that a sword is a direct approach and it makes the user fight with both brud strength and wisdom

Depends on the situation
Long Range Combat: I would use a gun
Up close and personal: I would use either a Big ass axe or some type of wrist guard and martial arts or a combination of the two.

Sword.
Bow as a secondary option if possible.

You clearly forgot "weapons of the body and mind" but there you go.

Alternatively, unarmed combat, I've been kickboxing for quite a few years. Still, it depends on the situation.

Irish style, hand and a half sword or a german long sword.

The weapons are excellent and so is the martial art that they designed for. Incidentally, I do that martial art.

I'd just knit them something ugly and spell their name wrongly on the christmas card list.

No, actually i like a two handed longsword but i suppose sword would do. My Elder Scrolls character rocks at that - i know ES is old now but i still love it! :D

Give me a bow and arrow any day. Sword would be my secondary choice, duel wielding preferably.
