What would be your choice of weapon?

Postby Ozental » Fri Mar 04, 2005 3:30 pm

I guess it depends on your 'fantasy career', but what would you choice of weapon be? Are you a sneaky assassin with a sharp blade or a pundering barbarian with a spiked club?

Crossbow, that way I can keep a safe distance away from harm and still do some damage.

Although, speaking in pure fantasy here... I would do unarmed combat. I would seriously kick some ass Mortal Kombat style.

Knife or so to speak dagger. Theres not too much flaw if you have the two essentials: Stealth and speed. Of course in fantasy, if I were to do some real fighting, I think fists are the most painful blunt objects to get beat down with.

Its seems as though individuality is something wrong now there are always rules surpressing true feelings and I for one am sick of it.. People who think they now it all have no idea of whats really going on...

Without exception, my fantasy characters have been crap with all forms of weaponry, until I started 'Jet li-ing' my opponents. :D

I would choose a staff being Druid all forms of violence are to be shunned. When the need arise's however I would use my staff and kick some butt as everyone would.

I'm a 'staff' kind of guy too. I usually like playing Clerics, and as with Druids, they are less 'fight and kill' than other classes.

i say the sword is the one that causes most damage but that depends on the type of sword. I think that crossbow and bow and arrows are the least affective because you can run out of arrows but a sword is always there

Ah, but if you are an Elven Legolas-type, you never seem to run out of arrows! :)

Have to go with the ever classic sword, it's just my style ;)
And shepherds we shall be, for thee my Lord for thee.

We shall flow a river forth to thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be.

Weapons... One of my favorite topics.

In real-life, I always prefer a longsword. As a WMA student, it has long been my favorite. The skill to properly wield such a weapon demands a lot of study to aquire.

Regarding fantasy games, I perfer magic over any weapons, but in a pinch I'd rather carry a sword than anything else. Who needs a weapon when you can simply drain your opponent of all strength and speed?

Ok, in game, my favorite is unarmed, yes I like to "feel" the damage I am causing. Also more personal, and easier to gouge eyes that way.

I am not a clean fighter, just as I am not in real life. A fight is a fight, and I plan to be the one walking away.

In real life and in most my characters, I am one who tries to avoid volience, for I always have the most destrcutive thoughts.

If I choose a weapon, it normally is a bladed one like a sickle, in which case when one does cut through tissue, it gives a certain sensations that passes down the blade.

Now in RL, I don't have rules, if a person is actually fighting me, expect me to do as much damage as possible, and with the theory, that I don't want the person to be able to recover and decide to try it again.

id say a knife cause you can shank someone real easily without them knowing it... its also quick and light so you can run or sneak up on someone...
